Halloween ComicFest: For those unfamiliar with Mummy's Always Right, how would you describe the main characters GAWS and the world in which he lives?

Joe Mulvey: GAWS and all the inhabitants of Mummy's Always Right live in a place called CREATURE COVE. It's their monster filled neighborhood where anything can and does happen. So GAWS is like any other undead, always curious, little kid who sees every day as a new adventure and needs his Mummy to help guide him along the way.

Halloween ComicFest: What other monsters inhabit the world of Mummy's Always Right?

Joe Mulvey: ALL OF THEM! Creature Cove is filled with every kind of monster. Mummies, Wolfmen(and women) Frankenstein monsters, Skeletons, Witches, Zombies, MerMen, Lovecraftian monstrosities... It's ALL in Creature Cove!

Halloween ComicFest: Why do you think kids have such a hard time deciding what to be for Halloween?

Joe Mulvey: Because the world is filled with so many amazing characters, both real and made up, to pretend to be. Picking just one isn't an easy job! And that's what this Mummy's Always Right Halloween Comic Fest comic is all about.

Halloween ComicFest: Have your kids ever had a hard time deciding what to be for Halloween?

Joe Mulvey: My kids are two and four, so EVERY DAY is Halloween! On October 31st it just comes down to who they're having the most fun pretending to be on that day. They probably have the hardest time agreeing who I should dress up as.

Halloween ComicFest: What are some of your favorite all-ages comics?

Joe Mulvey: The Skottie Young Oz books are a big favorite. Grumpy Cat, Tiny Titans, Franklin Richards son of a Genius. There are a lot. Hopefully an event like this year's Halloween ComicFest introduces people to a lot more.

Halloween ComicFest: What are some of your favorite Halloween movies or Monsters?

Joe Mulvey: I like some laughs with my scares, so I love movies like Young Frankenstein, Scary Movie and Evil Dead. Also the Abbott and Costello Meet the Monsters movies. But when I want my true horror fix I'll go the classics like Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street. More recent ones would be The Babadook, The Witch, Trick or Treat and The Conjuring spooked me just right for the season.

Halloween ComicFest: If fans enjoy Mummy's Always Right, what other comics would you recommend?

Joe Mulvey: Definitely the ones I mentioned above, the great all ages comics. Also I'd add Oddly Normal, Mouse Guard and C is for Cthulhu. All beyond worth your time to check out.
