Halloween ComicFest Interview with Zenescope writer Ralph Tedesco
Oct 15, 2014
Zenescope writer Ralph Tedesco talks about his best and worst Halloween memories.
HCF:What is your favorite part about your comic?
Ralph Tedesco: "The fact that Halloween theme fits perfectly into the Zenescope brand. Much of what we do is tailored to Halloween and we love that we can tell these one-shot stories that have a horror theme to them."
HCF: What is your favorite Halloween memory?
Ralph Tedesco: "Just going trick-or-treating when I was like 5 with my parents. I couldn't believe that I could knock on someone's door and get candy. And I wasn't sure why Halloween wasn't every day."
HCF: What has been your worst and best Halloween costume?
Ralph Tedesco: "My best: I did my own zombie with a bullet hole in the head make-up when I was 11 and scared a couple younger kids who saw me trick or treating that night. One kid about 2 years younger than me started crying. Perhaps it was a little melodramatic but at the time I was pretty proud of that moment." "My worst was probably when I went in regular clothes when I was 13 and decided to go with my friends and get free candy. In retrospect I was just that annoying teenager cheating the system."
HCF: What are you going to do for Halloween?
Ralph Tedesco: "This year, like the last couple, we're setting up a booth at Stan Lee's Comikaze in Los Angeles over Halloween weekend."
HCF: Do you have any favorite Halloween, Monster or Horror themed comics?
Ralph Tedesco: "Aside from Grimm Tales of Terror (our new series), I love most Zombie comics."
