Grimm Fairy Tales Artist Mike DeBalfo talks about his inspiration for the cover of the Halloween ComicFest Full-Size comic plus shares his own favorite Halloween memories.

HCF: What is your favorite Halloween memory?
Mike DeBalfo: "My favorite memory might be the year that I went trick-or-treating dressed as a giant baby. I remember the diaper being extremely comfortable. I also really enjoyed the first time we took my oldest daughter trick-or-treating. She was less than a year old and we carted her around in a red wagon."

HCF: What is a Halloween tradition that you have?

MD: "My wife and I love Halloween. Every year we deck the front of our house out with Halloween decorations that would rival Clark Grizwald's Christmas display."

HCF:What is your favorite Zenescope title:
MD: "Return To Wonderland is what started it all for me. The story was so twisted, and made the reader wonder what's wrong with them for liking it so much".

HCF: What was your inspiration for the cover?
MD: "One of the first Gil Elvgren pinups I remember seeing as a kid was a Halloween illustration he did with a cute witch flying on a broom stick. It resonated with me over the years, and this being among my first published."
