Halloween ComicFest: What is your favorite part about your Halloween ComicFest comic?

Vito DelsanteI think that my absolute favorite thing is that our book has something for everyone. Superheroes, talking dogs...there's nothing you won't love!

Halloween ComicFest: What can we expect to see in terms of story and art in your Halloween ComicFest title?

Vito Delsante: It's a split book, so you're getting two different styles from Ray-Anthony Height & Sean Izaakse (traditional superhero art) and Rosy Higgins & Ted Brandt (all-ages and incredibly welcoming). It's almost like we're saying, "The entire family can enjoy this!"

Halloween ComicFest: What is your favorite Halloween memory?

Vito DelsanteMy (maternal) grandmother was a seamstress for a living, so 'roundabouts August or September or so, we'd start telling her what we wanted to wear for Halloween and she'd make it for us. There wasn't a specific costume; it was just that time with my grandma.

Halloween ComicFest: What has been your best (or worst!) Halloween costume?

Vito DelsanteBest? Probably last year when my wife and daughter and I went as Wreck-It Ralph, Fix-It Felix Jr., and Vanellope. Worst? That year I didn't even put any effort into it and just wore a wig and shades with a sleeveless t-shirt and said I was Joe Perry from Aerosmith.

Halloween ComicFest: Tell HCF fans why they should pick up your comic first during the event.

Vito DelsanteWhy should they get Actionverse first? Well, all the other titles will still be there. This is easily the "Cinderella" of the group; the one that everyone will overlook, but the one that will really entertain a lot of people. We have great art, two great stories, and the introduction of a new event...this is unheard of from an independent publisher! It's really the best of all worlds. Actionverse, and specifically the Halloween issue, is the stuff that comic book stories are made of: adventure, fun, and incredible art.

Halloween ComicFest: What are your favorite Halloween, Monster or Horror-themed comics?

Vito DelsanteI'm not generally a horror fan, but I love monster comics. James Stokoe's work on Godzilla is incredible and Mike Mignola's Hellboy titles are perennial favorites in my house.

Halloween ComicFest: What are you doing for Halloween this year?

Vito DelsanteWell, we just had another baby, a boy named James, so we're probably going to do the Despicable Me theme with the family.

Halloween ComicFest: What other titles would you associate with your HCF book? “If a comic readers likes ____, they should pick up my HCF Title?”

Vito DelsanteIf a reader likes Hero Cats or Mouse Guard, they'll love the Action Lab: Dog Of Wonder preview. If they love classic Marvel/DC superheroes and crossovers, they'll love Actionverse.
