This special issue will kick off a new event that will bring together heroes and villains from across Action Lab's creator-owned superhero properties—starting with a cross-over between Midnight Tiger, Molly Danger, and Stray. Halloween ComicFest: What is your favorite part about your Halloween ComicFest comic?

Jamal Igle: It's a big, old-fashioned superhero jamfest. I had a lot of fun trying to, as a writer, mimic the voices of Midnight Tiger and Stray, especially Gavin (Midnight Tiger). Capturing his sheer fanboy-ishness and energy, Gavin is the POV character of the story. Molly and Stray have a very long history, which we allude to, and I look forward to fleshing out a bit at some point.

Halloween ComicFest: What can we expect to see in terms of story and art in your Halloween ComicFest title?

Jamal IgleIt's a collaboration, the best kind of collaboration between a group of creators. It starts out so organically and seeing the pages, pencilled by Ray-Anthony Height and inked by Sean Izzakse is a treat. You're talking about two artists who, while they have very different styles, come from a similar school of thought when it comes to storytelling and are creating this hybrid of the two. People are going to be knocked out by the story as well. It's fun, it's very much a homage to our favorite team-up stories, and is a great primer to the Actionverse crossover.

Halloween ComicFest: What is your favorite Halloween memory?

Jamal Igle: Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love making costumes and coming up with ideas for costumes. Nowadays, I get to share Halloween with my daughter, who is a terror when it comes to Halloween candy collection. We always come home with giant bags.

Halloween ComicFest: What has been your best (or worst!) Halloween costume?

Jamal IgleA few years ago, my daughter Catie had an old Supergirl costume she wanted to wear. We tried to talk her out of it but she insisted, and that gave me the idea of a lifetime. I decided that I was going to go as Jor-El, but specifically as Marlon Brando's Jor-el from Superman the movie.

Halloween ComicFest: Tell HCF fans why they should pick up your comic first during the event.

Jamal Igle: Because you're going to want to get in on the ground floor of the biggest event in Independent comics... Actionverse, and it all starts on Halloween.
