HCF2015: Adam Archer Lets the Games Begin in Adventures of Psycho Bonkers

This all-new, all-ages Halloween special brings together heroes from across Aspen comics for the adventure of a lifetime. The cast of Psycho Bonkers, Fathom's Ernie the Seahorse, and other fan favorite characters from across Aspen's line-up are going head-to-head in a pulse-pounding race and taking readers along for the ride! And the fun won't stop once you cross the finish line—this issue is also packed with plenty of activity and coloring pages! 

Halloween ComicFest: What is your favorite part about your Halloween ComicFest comic?

Adam Archer: I'm having a blast drawing the Psycho Bonkers comics so to be able to draw Shine, Shiza, and Gabbo in another adventure with a bunch of Aspen heroes is just great.

Halloween ComicFest: What can we expect to see in terms of story and art in your Halloween ComicFest title?

Adam Archer: Well, when you have fun with a project I think that definitely comes across, and I hope that's the case here. I did my best to make the characters as lively and full of expression as possible, and Vince Hernandez, along with the Aspen crew, put together a fun story with some neat interactive challenges. 

Halloween ComicFest: What is your favorite Halloween memory?

Adam Archer: The highlight of the holiday has always been the candy for me :). Bringing home as much as possible and then hiding it from my parents so they did't try and ration it out.

Halloween ComicFest: What has been your best (or worst!) Halloween costume?

Adam Archer: The nicest Halloween costume I ever had was one my mom made for me in 3rd grade. I wanted to be Skeletor so she stitched together an entire outfit for me that went along with a glow in the dark skull mask. I felt so darn cool.

Halloween ComicFest: Tell HCF fans why they should pick up your comic first during the event.

Adam Archer: I think this will be a great book to grab because it's one that all ages can enjoy. Not only does it have some neat activities, but it's also a nice introduction to some of the characters in the Aspen Universe.

This is the third cover to Psycho Bonkers and my favorite one so far. It¹s colored by Federico Blee and features the terrifying bonk racer, Fuel, chasing down our heroine, Shine.

And here are a few covers to my own kids' books available on Amazon. The first two, The Bones of Lampus Haddly, and The Terrible Terrible Lake, are fully illustrated stand-alone novels and the last three are from my new comic series, Into the Neverback. Each of these comic volumes are available in e-book, and contains 60-plus black and white pages of supernatural craziness.
