Halloween ComicFest: What is your favorite part about your Halloween ComicFest comic?

Philip Kim: It really brings the spirit of what Halloween used to be and the treats are not empty calories and high dental bills.

Halloween ComicFest: What can we expect to see in terms of story and art in your Halloween ComicFest title?

Philip Kim: Spook-A-Rama is a story best described as Fright Night meets A Night at the Museum.

Halloween ComicFest: What is your favorite Halloween memory?

Philip Kim: I grew up in a working class neighborhood, so Halloween was the other Christmas Eve. It was how much candy can we fill between the hours of 6 to 11 PM. We filled two pillow cases full of candy and by 11 PM, our feet and shoulders and arms were throbbing. I remember an elderly couple asking our group, "Do you know what time its is?" We answered 11:00 PM, They smiled and gave us all some dollar bills. I never forgot their generosity and how hard we worked and the fun we had doing it.

Halloween ComicFest: What has been your best (or worst!) Halloween costume?

Philip KimBest was a custom-made devil outfit. Worst was a vinyl cape in 1978 from Toys R Us.

Halloween ComicFest: Tell HCF fans why they should pick up your comic first during the event.

Philip Kim: Spook-A-Rama is based on a fantasy world that was created to honor our late, great editor Forrest J. Ackerman. It is all things classic about Halloween.
